  • PSAT Information

    On Wednesday, October 19th, all 9th grade students will take the PSAT 8/9 and all 10th and 11th grade students will take the PSAT/NMSQT. BHS students do not have to register or pay. All students are automatically registered to take the PSAT 8/9 or the PSAT/NMSQT.

    Non-BHS students wishing to take the PSAT at BHS may do so by completing this Google form.

    “Bells are Ringing” is a light-hearted romantic comedy. The show centers around an answering service before the times of answering machines and cell phones. An obsessed detective suspects the Susanswerphone of being a front for illegal activity and is determined to prove it. In true musical theatre style, a love story runs right through the craziness.

  • Preparing for College – BISD College Fair & FAFSA Information

    BISD COLLEGE FAIR SLIDER

    Parents and students are invited to attend the BISD College Fair. Trade schools and 2-year and 4-year colleges from in and out of the state will be set up and ready to speak with families about education opportunities. Parents and students can also get information and assistance on how to complete FAFSA applications.

    Students in the Class of 2016, the new 2016-17 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now available.   • Students Honored at BISD Film Festival

    BISD FF WinnersThe Second Annual BISD Film Festival was held on December 17, 2015, from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at Venue 510 in Burleson. Elementary, middle and high school student filmmakers were invited to develop a 2-5 minute film.  The theme this year was “Celebrate Your Story – Life Itself, Musings on the Human Experience”.

    Three BHS students won awards for exemplary films in the competition:

    The Best PSA award went to: “Words” by Shelby Pool

    The Best Foreign Film award went to: “The American Dream” by Nithure Rema

    The Best Narrative award went to: “This is A Letter to You” by Callie Payne

  • Art Student Honored

    This past Saturday Emily Smith placed 2nd in the Fort Worth Stock Show art contest receiving a scholarship, and then had her drawing auctioned and sold that evening increasing her scholarship earnings. Emily also participated in the Johnson County Stock Show art contest and had work placing as grand champion which also earned her scholarship funds. Emily had a financially rewarding night ending with with two art works sold.  Fantastic job we are proud of you!
