  • Google Opportunity for Students

Google is working on a G Suite Certification program for STUDENTS,and we are excited to have the opportunity to participate in a pilot for the exam.  Through this pilot, students can take the certification exam for free and provide important feedback for Google exam developers.
The GSuite Certification Exam measures a student’s ability to work, communicate, and collaborate in real-time using GSuite. Becoming certified in GSuite will help students be more efficient in the classroom, prepares them for college, and shows that they have skills to be successful at their job.

  • Band Honors

The Burleson High School “Spirit of the Elks” Marching Band earned a 1st Division (Superior) rating during the Region 30 Marching Band Contest held Monday, October 22nd, at Joshua High School Stadium.

All three adjudicators awarded the band the top rating.

The band’s musical program this year is entitled, “A Night at the Opera.”  Four Italian operas are represented in the musical score including selections from Pagliacci, Turandot, William Tell, and The Barber of Seville.  Many thanks go out to our moms, dads, and other community friends of the band who worked tirelessly for months on props, costumes, food, supplies, and all the necessary components of this year’s production.  Congratulations, Band!
